Companies, Industrials, Professional associations , ...All of them trust the PEP ecopassport® program and explain why :
By Hager Group the Life Cycle Assessment of products is closely linked to the company’s Eco-Design approach. Indeed, the Life Cycle Assessment was firstly introduced to measure and quantify the environmental impact and help product development teams to identify and compare different improvement alternatives.
At the same time, the building sector started to ask for environmental information, no longer only for the construction materials, but also for building equipment. In this context, Hager Group provided its customers the first environmental declarations from 2008.
Thereafter, the market need for more homogeneity and compatibility between the environmental declarations, lead Hager Group to take part to the creation of the PEP ecopassport® program.
Today, PEP ecopassport® provides clear and shared rules for the realisation of environmental declarations and works actively to ensure the compatibility with other environmental programs. This allows Hager Group to answer its customers’ needs in different countries with a single document.
The production of PEP ecopassport® declarations has also been integrated in the product development approach of the group. In 2014, Hager Group realised more than 30% of its worldwide turnover with products for which a PEP ecopassport® declaration is available.
